Claude's Artifact Promotion Cuts Some Session Usage Through October 15
Anthropic is temporarily discounting some five-hour session-limit usage for artifact workflows in Claude chats and cloud Cowork tasks. The October 1 to October 15 promotion applies automatically to Pro, Max, and Team plans, and to Free plans since October 7, but not to Claude Code, Enterprise plans, or weekly limits.

OpenAI Says GPT-6 Astra Now Uses Less ChatGPT Subscription Usage on Long Tasks
OpenAI executive Tibo says recent improvements to GPT-6 Astra reduce the subscription usage drawn by long-tail work for power users signed in with a ChatGPT account. The announcement claims up to 3–4x less usage and says there is no change in quality, but it does not publish implementation details, a new quota, or an API billing change.
Claude Code Auto-Continues When Usage Limits Reset, On by Default
Claude Code waits in the open session and continues your task automatically when a claude.ai usage limit resets. It is on by default from version 2.1.234 in interactive sessions signed in with a claude.ai subscription. Turn it off in /config under 'Continue automatically at usage limit' or set autoContinueAtUsageLimit to false. It resumes work; it does not raise the limit.

Cursor doubled the included usage pool for its own models, and staff confirmed in writing that it is permanent: 'The doubled pool stays.' As of October 9, 2026, the pool covers four models: Grok 4.7, Grok 4.6, Grok 4.5, and Composer 2.5. What expired on July 21, 2026 was a separate 50 percent launch discount on Grok 4.5.

Anthropic's +50% Claude Code weekly-limits promotion ended September 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. On September 14 Anthropic rewrote its support article: starting September 14, 2026, weekly limits in Claude Code are 25% higher than they were before the promotion for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. Five-hour limits are unchanged.
