About AI Catchup
Catch up on AI -- tools, practices, and what matters this week.
What we cover
AI Catchup is a weekly publication for developers, technical founders, and AI-curious operators who want to keep up with the actually-useful changes in AI tooling without drowning in launch posts. We focus on five areas: the tools you'd add to your stack (Tools & Software), the day-to-day workflows that move productivity (Practices & Workflows), the news that actually matters (News & Analysis), tutorials for leveling up (Skills & Learning), and head-to-head tool comparisons (Comparisons & Roundups).
The center of gravity is AI coding tools and the agents people actually ship with -- Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Warp, Gemini CLI, Perplexity, and the MCP server ecosystem that connects them. Our weekly newsletter summarizes everything in 5-10 minutes of reading on a Monday.
How we work
Every article on this site is written by a human who uses these tools in real production work. We don't auto-generate content, we don't accept payment for placement on our picks pages, and we don't publish reviews of products we haven't used. When we cite a fact -- a price, a feature, a release date, a benchmark score -- we link to the primary source.
For the full version of how we evaluate tools and produce our monthly picks, see our editorial policy.
