Claude Cowork Reaches Web and Mobile for Paid Plans

Claude Cowork is now available on web and mobile in addition to desktop. That means you can start a task at your desk, check it from a browser or phone, and pick up the finished work wherever you are (Claude on X; Anthropic Help Center).

Availability

Anthropic's current help guidance lists Cowork on these surfaces:

• Web: Available on Pro, Max, and Team plans. Enterprise organizations can make it available where an admin has enabled it.
• Mobile: Available on Pro, Max, and Team plans in the latest Claude iOS and Android apps. Enterprise availability depends on admin enablement.
• Desktop: Available on paid plans, with the desktop app providing the fullest access to local files and computer-connected capabilities.

Web and mobile remain in beta, and rollout can be gradual. If the Cowork option does not appear on mobile, Anthropic says to update the app; on web, open Claude's Home tab and select Cowork from the message box (Anthropic Help Center; Anthropic Help Center).

How Cross-Device Cowork Works

Cloud Cowork sessions and their files are saved to your Claude account. You can move between surfaces, steer a running task, and review the same output from desktop, web, or mobile. Sessions continue in the cloud when your laptop is closed, and scheduled tasks do not require a device to stay online (Anthropic Help Center).

What Still Requires Desktop

The cross-device rollout does not make every Cowork capability mobile-native. Anthropic's surface comparison says live artifacts are desktop-only. Local file access, local connectors, browser use, and computer use from web or mobile work through the Claude Desktop app, which must remain open on the connected computer (Anthropic Help Center).
